A message from the Campaign Chair
Thank you for taking a walk with us as we introduce you to our exciting, ground-breaking project The Future is in Sight. This innovative project is set to transform the lives of Victorians who are blind or have low vision.
“It will help give the gift of freedom and independence to more Victorians living with blindness or permanent vision loss. It will be a source of pride for all Victorians.”
The need for the services of Guide Dogs Victoria is greater than ever before, with demand expected to double by the year 2020. To meet this growing demand, Guide Dogs Victoria needs to build for the future. There is an urgent need to transform the 60 year old facilities in Kew. The new master plan provides for Australia’s First Sensory Campus. taking the quality of services for people who are blind or have low vision to the next level. It will help give the gift of freedom and independence to more Victorians living with blindness or permanent vision loss. and be a source of pride for all Victorians.
A significant investment of $23.2 million will turn this transformational vision into reality. The master plan makes perfect business sense. The planned complementary social enterprises and upgraded training facilities will provide both social and financial returns.
To contribute to a person’s education and independence is truly meaningful and enormously important. Together we can do so much, and I urge you to join me in proudly and generously supporting The Future is in Sight.
Wheelton Philanthropy have committed $1,000,000 to this project.
